I'm John Filander, Winter Sports Director at Giants Ridge in Biwabik, MN.  I'll be your Iron Range getaway guide this ski season. I'm a cross country ski fanatic and sometimes you can even catch me on a pair of alpine skis…I've also been known to jump on a board here and there, too!

I've skied all over the country and can honestly tell you that Giants Ridge and the Iron Range have the best snow to be found!  The conditions here are always top-notch and the grooming is second-to-none.  Plus, you can be sure you'll be greeted with a friendly Iron Range smile.
